MCAD is located at 2501 Stevens Ave. in south Minneapolis, adjacent to The Minneapolis Institute of Arts and The Children’s Theatre Company.

The Crooked Pint is at the corner of Washington Avenue and 5th Ave South.
There is a large parking lot behind the building, and it is 4 blocks from 2 LRT stations.

Kristin Solid Info
Kristin Solid most recently worked as a Senior Animation Supervisor at Rhythm and Hues Studios. Supervising animation teams on such films as The Hunger Games, Yogi Bear, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Hop. She was also part of Animation Development, which helped expand the capabilities of animation tools and rigs. Prior to working at Rhythm and Hues, Kristin worked in Toronto, where she supervised the animation on Shane Acker’s highly acclaimed animated feature “9.” Included among other studios where she worked were WETA (King Kong), Industrial Light and Magic (Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean) and Tippett Studios (The Spiderwick Chronicles).

Kristin will be giving two presentations on Thursday, November 20th 2014. One at 1:30 in the afternoon at MCAD, and another in the evening at The Crooked Pint Ale House in Downtown Minneapolis.
The talks are free and open to the public.
