The software is designed for distributed computation across a network, and according to a (probably slightly hyperbolic) section in the blurb entitled ‘Have you ever seen a rendered image with billions of particles?’, previsualises sims “in the blink of an eye”.
FluX supports the Alembic file format, and can export directly into Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, RenderMan, Arnold, Krakatoa, V-Ray, RealFlow and Houdini.
The only catch is, you can’t buy it yet.
